The mission of their organization is to inspire and educate others.. The organization also funds an annual Kids Camp for children who have lost limbs. This is their mission.  Matias Ferreira, a Marine Corps veteran who has recovered from severe injuries he suffered while deployed in Afghanistan, plays infield. He lives with his family on Long Island. Though he lost both legs, he is currently an active Officer in The Suffolk County PD.

Joe Bart (event coordinator), ??every time the WWAST comes here to play, it is an inspirational event for everyone who attended. We hope for an ever larger crowd this year to cheer on these brave veterans. It will be an incredible weekend of Celebration, Inspiration and Motivation!??
